How to Request a Repeat Prescription

The repeat prescription system enables patients to obtain, via Reception, supplies of medication already entered on the computer by one of the Practice clinicians for prescription on a repeatable basis.

Repeat prescriptions can be requested:

In Person, in writing - preferably using the computer-generated side-slip, ticking each item required

Email SRCCG.Uscripts@nhs.net

Please provide the patients full name, date of birth and medication required

Post - The University Medical Practice

9 Northcourt Avenue, Reading RG2 7HE

Please include a SAE

As a routine we do not accept requests over the telephone

When requesting a repeat prescription please allow at least two working days for processing.

(Patients' medication is reviewed reguarly, so you may have to see a doctor or nurse before receiving a repeat prescription)

PLEASE NOTE: To avoid delay in processing your request it is necessary that you provide the correct name of your medication.

If any change is required to your medication if must be arranged directly by the patient with the clinician, even if a specialist has advised an alteration.

Ask local pharmacies about their collection/delivery services for repeat prescriptions.
